Campton Hills has decided to allow the petition for the dissolution of Campton HIlls to be certified.  Mind you, these leaders have spent a lot of time and money creating a community that most people now don't want.  They incorporated, and have spent a lot of money in legal fees fighting subdivisions that have the right to opt out.  What's so amazing is that I believe the majority of Campton's residents don't want anything to do with this village, but we're being taxed to pay attorneys to keep us hostage in Campton.  So stupid isn't it?  I have spoken to people who have had horrible run in's with Patsy Smith.  Mr. Paul Fritz is a landowner and business owner who has been out here for over 20 or 30 years, and Patsy has had interchanges with him that have left him questioning whether we a...

Well just as I've been saying all along.  All those promises of NO MORE TAXES helped our Village of Campton Hills officials get elected and a new town created.....Gross. The Kane County Chronicle reported yesterday that "Campton Hills wants to create a special tax district to pay for drainage improvements in the Evening Prairie and Verhaeghe subdivisions and about 87 adjacent acres. About 40 homeowners are affected. County officials say the area's aging drain tiles are on the verge of collapse and the work is necessary."  A courageous land owner, Mr. Paul Fritz, evidently is considering fighting this tax. The pro-government candidates are absolutely fixated on finding a connection between B&B and the Stop Campton Hills PAC.  Their time would be better spent trying to find a copy of the Village budget so we would all know what this Village is really costing all of us.  Their PAC (Political Action Committee) is fixated on contributions that B&B gave to fight the incorporation of Campton.  This was through Concerned Citizens Against Incorporation (CCAI).  This was a completely separate PAC than the current one that is seeking to dissolve the Village of Campton.  As far as the fraudulent postings on the Candidates FOR Campton web site...the document purporting to show the connection with B&B is a fabrication. Saint Patrick's Catholic Grade School is the highest rated grade school in the diocese of Rockford.  Of course, I'm president of the school board, and therefore, I'm biased.  However, I was a graduate of saint patrick's myself and probably had no business to go on and be a great success, but for whatever reasons I did.  A few of the teachers that put up with me are now teaching my children.  Besides this, the school truly is ranked ahead of all of the public schools.  As an investment it is an incredibly cheap investment in your child.  The waiting lists aren't as bad as they used to be and the parish subsidizes part of the tuition.  It's a great value.  For more information go to www.stpatsirish.org. HOMEGENERAL INFORMATIONFACULTYHOME & SCHOOL BOARDEDUCATION COMMISSIONCALENDARCONTACT F...

Interesting development coming down the pipeline in Campton VHills, Village, Township or whatever these people are calling themselves now.  There is obvious opposition to this tax raising entity.  These people ran on a slate saying that they are not going to raise taxes, but have already pushed for salary increases, hiring for an understaffed police force and an admission that they won't be able to do these things without raising taxes.... One of the local people who are involved with the group Free Us From Campton came home and found a piece of human feces wrapped in toilet paper in his mailbox.  Or shall I say that his wife did.  Other people have had the "Village People" as I'd like to call them, forceably remove signs from the owners own yards.  THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT SMART.  WHO WOUL...

So stupid is the administration in Campton Township.  They ran a political campaign on one of two platforms.  They said that they wouldn't raise taxes because the current tax base would be sufficient to support our township.  Later there is a double murder.  The police chief doesn't even go to the crime scene.  read the article below, but get my comments after words.  The comments are from the Kane County Chronicle. After facing blistering criticism from a village resident, Police Chief Greg Anderson admitted that he should have come to the scene of Sunday's domestic shooting.Anderson said he was not told about the shooting that left a couple dead until hours after it happened.He said he chose to stay away from the scene so as not to get in the way of Kane County investigators who were ...

We also received some questions regarding the sponsorship of this Festival at Village Hall this week and I just wanted to clarify that the Village has received approximately $3,450 in donations, not including items for the raffle, for this event. As you can see from the article below, FEMA will be in the area today to evaluate damage from the storm and has requested homeowners with damage contact the Village Officials and report damage.
