For those of you who had water in your basements, here are some pointers we received at Village Hall this week:Remove any water from floors so they won't warp. Wash walls and floors with a disinfectant to prevent mold and mildew.Remove wet drywall; up to at least two feet above the high water mark. Leave your doors, windows and cupboards open. To avoid dry rot, allow at least six months to pass before relaying floor coverings. Use a dehumidifier wherever carpets or furnishings have absorbed water.
