This graph is a current example of how the Schaumburg Real Estate Market has improved over the last year. There is a lowered percentage of short sales and foreclosures (REO's) within the overall market. Why is this important? Assessment notices for Schaumburg Township have been mailed out 8/19/14 so look for that in your mailbox. It's important because if you do not like the assessment and feel that it is incorrect or unjust you have the right to appeal that assessment by September 29, 2014.How to file an appeal is on the Schaumburg Township website. The biggest mistake that I find homeowners make is the thinking 'my house isn't worth this much anymore'. The assessor does not think like a buyer or seller!
