St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Crown Point Indiana   Crown Point Indiana will be hosting their 5th Annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.  The downtown square will be closed off at noon on Sunday, March 17th for the festivities.   There will be numerous vendors on the courthouse square starting at 3:00 pm.  Come join the fun.  Various food stands offer a wonderful choice for dinner.  Entertainment to be provided by a couple different pipes and drums corps.  The Crown Point fire department will sell corned beef and cabbage dinners from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.    Decorations in the windows of the stores downtown will be judged and the winner to be announced about 6:45 pm.  The St. Patrick’s Day parade will start shortly after Dusk.   Can you find the four leaf clover in the picture above?      03/16/2013

Kick in the holidays with the Crown Point Indiana annual tree lighting ceremony on Friday, November 16th at 5:30 pm. The event will take place on the east side of the old Crown Point courthouse.  Harmony Handbells and the Crown Point Choir will be performing. Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided by Wittenburg Lutheran Village. Anyone familiar with Crown Point is familiar with the tank that sits on the corner of Main St. and Goldsborough St..  The tank is lit up every year during the holidays in remembrance of U.S. troops past and present.
