History of a Painting - Bumper Car Framed Set.While exhibiting and selling my paintings and prints, I had several requests for prints of my paintings for children's rooms.  That's when I decided to paint pictures and put them into sets of 4 different pictures. Among the print sets, were 5" x 25" and 7" x 18" (inside frame measurements), so I could use both vertical and horizontal pictures.The Bumper cars were popular because of the bright colors and everyone has fond memories of them at the amusement parks. The New York Central Train Museum in Elkhart, Indiana ... The NYC Train Museum is a permanent local attraction that can be visited year around. The museum has both indoor displays and of course the outside displays of REAL steam engines and train cars.  You can even climb in one of the antique locomotive engines and toot the horn for all to hear. Inside, there are many displays to see and read about, including toy replicas of many different trains that our families played with as children.  Visit the working train set, complete with buildings, scenery and even tunnels for the numerous trains that run simultaneously. I'm Getting Too Old for This! Every fall as we get closer to the Holidays, we get excited about decorating.  Then after the Holidays, it is bitter cold, snowy and just plain nasty.  This year I took that extra step in outside decorations.  It was nice and warm and it took me several days, as I took my time putting them up and getting them just right. I planned on taking it all down on New Years day, but the rain poured all day. The prediction was January 2nd would be the best day as shown by the 7 day forecast.  January 3rd was bringing freezing rain, sleet, snow and ice, as well as falling temps., then downhill from there, so on January 2nd, I bundled up to face the balmy 28 degree weather.  Many of the decorations were anchored in the frozen solid ground, which I had to chip away with... 01/03/2015

Leininger Farms in Now Open - The Most Varieties of Pumpkins Around. Mishawaka, Indiana Known for its corn maze, Leininger Farms, due to crop rotation, does not have its maze on Douglas Road this year, but has an abundant crop of Seasonal decorations. They offer the most varieties of pumpkins around, with many different kinds of squash and gourds to choose from.   Their country store offers decoration for the seasonal fall holidays, which include corn stalks, mums, straw bails and other miscellaneous decorations.
