Kansas, the Sunflower State. At Grinter Farms, in Lawrence KS, you will find the Sunflower fields in full bloom during the late summer. At no cost to the public, it's the perfect drive into the countryside and a fantastic photo opportunity. You can even pick a sunflower ($1 donations appreciated).
