Last Sunday, September 16, 2012 my husband Phil and I attended the Gaslight Festival Car Show 2012. We couldn't have asked for better weather! There was a great turnout.  I was pleasantly surprised at all the people that stopped and talked to us about the car. Maybe I shouldn't have been, since Phil had won his first trophy the day before in the Kentucky Cruizers car show in Carrollton.  Our entry was a 1962 Ford Fairlane 500. It has a 221 V8 engine, which is the smallest V8 engine Ford ever made. It has 4 doors, not 2 so it is definitely a cruiser, although it will pick up some speeds, trust me! But don't take my word for it...I, the person who hit 3 deers within a year, will not drive it with a ten foot pole. =) This car show had for the most part very high quality cars and I enjoyed...

New FHA rules announced January 15, 2010 offer a new approach to mitigating the foreclosure crisis by temporarily suspending a long standing rule against "flipping" that could impact the Louisville housing scene. In the past, "flipping" a house acquired a bad name, as investors would by a home a bargain price, then resell the home at inflated prices to unsuspecting buyers. It appears that the asking price of condos in the J'Town area of Louisville, Ky are on the rise.  If you look at the graph below, you will see data that I have charted for the past year.  The black line shows weekly data points of the median asking price of condos in J'Town, while the gold line shows a rolling 90 day trend line for the same properties.  As you can clearly see, it looks like we hit an inflection point sometime last month, and that prices have started moving up, at least a little bit.  This runs a bit counter to homes prices in Louisville, as those continue their downward trend.
