I am not a plumber.  When I occasionally embark upon a plumbing task usually within a few minutes  I am wondering if my short term memory has begun to fail.   This morning I decided to tackle the dripping faucet problem in the guest bathroom.   Removing the single piece unit that shuts off both the hot and cold water was quite easy.  I took a photo of the unit that dispenses the water and carried the camera with me to my local Ace Hardware at Tates Creek Center.  Digital pictures are a insurance for my visual memory. Ace doesn't always have what I need but they are much closer and much more customer friendly than the big chain stores.  The Ace help quickly determined my part was discontinued brand and recommended I make a quick trip downtown to Day's Plumbing Supply.  The service desk ... 11/06/2010

Remember when businesses always wanted some cool name or initials in their phone number for you to remember it easy? Such as 1-800-ASK-TONY?   These letters no longer work on some cell phones because technology has changed. Lovely to see a staging video that takes a bite out of the learning curve for novices. At Lizette Realty we do our share of getting houses ready for the market and October is a big month for us. Despite of the slow market in other areas Central Kentucky is doing very well and we have been busy with new buyers.     Interest rates are still very low and buyers have their pick of many good houses right now. I love my job! Working in and around Kentucky horse farms in Lexington KY is the best part of my day.  Dad's Favorites Cheese Spreads Grand Opening - Lexington KY I was first introduced to the Dad's Favorites Cheese Spreads at the Lexington Farmer's Market a little over a month ago. there I met James Caudill and Susan Bratton that let me try all the different yummy varieties. The ones I tried were Smoky Pimento Cheese, Asiago Sun Dried Tomato, Green Chili Jack,  Chipole Cheddar and Swiss Cheese. It was hard to make a decision since they all were so good. I settled on the Asiago Sun Dried Tomato Spread to take home. That didn't last long and soon my friends were wanting what was been served at my house too. Shared Lexington Kentucky Home Inspection Reports The Offer has been made and accepted; now it's time to schedule a Lexington Kentucky home inspection.  The home inspection day comes; the complete home inspection experience is finished; and a report is delivered to the prospective buyer and, sometimes, the buyer's agent.   A couple of days later, the deal falls through.  It may have been some of the items found during the inspection, change in the buyer's financial circumstances, or a myriad of other reasons.  You better than anyone know how many things can kill a deal at the last minute! But wait, a copy of the inspection report was given to the listing agent and the selling agent still has a copy. It's hard to believe that the World Equestrian Event is finally here. I drove through downtown Lexington KY a few days ago and there was so much going on to prepare for the event.   It's a nice time to be proud of Central Kentucky.  The beauty that we all get to live and work in every day will be experienced for the first tiime by many visitors.     This is so important for our economy even though Lexington was barely touched by all the recession. Real estate is still selling well and interest rates are low.  Relax and please think of how lucky we are here. The biggest event of all time, the FEI Alltech World Equestrian Event is about to hit Lexington KY in just six days. It's hard to imagine that over 600,0000 guests can fit into our city for 16 days. This event will be held at the Kentucky horse Park on Ironworks Rd. There will be shuttle service to and from downtown provided by Lextran. In the Lexington Convention Center the International Equestrian Festival will run for 16 days also. Lexington KY - Keeneland Sales 2010 - Keeneland Race Track  Lunch at Keenland Sales costs 3.7 million! Well...not exactly! My lunch was $4.00 but for Mr. O'Byrne it was 3.7 million! This happened one September, but imagine having a delicious lunch and in the room next door a live auction is underway at Keeneland Sales 2010. What is up for sale is a beautiful Kentucky thoroughbred colt. The bidders seem to be hidden because it's hard to tell who is bidding. I swear they must bid with their eyes by blinking because I don't see anyone scratching their nose or raising a finger. Then suddenly as the bid is going up $200,000 a lick... it ends at 3.7 million! It's been some time since I have been at the Farmers Market in the middle of downtown Lexington KY, but I have to say that it is bigger and better than I can remember. In fact the new Fifth Third Pavilion is an awesome place to have the weekly Saturday event from 7:00AM - 3:00PM. Not just vegetables and fruits here. There were artists with jewelry, pottery and paintings. I particularly enjoyed all the tables that had taste samples of cheeses, dips, BBQ, desserts, olive oil, breads, candy and meats. Most everything that I tasted, I bought some to take home or ate on the spot. In fact now I can't wait to go back and get more. I love finding new things! I was like a kid in the candy store!
