MEMORIAL DAY, Formerly know as Decoration Day. We observed the last Monday in May to take time to remember our US men and women who died while in the Military service. Memorial Day was formerly observed on May 30Th then was changed to the last Monday so the three day weekend was created.   I just wanted to take time and say THANKS to the Men and Women in our Armed Services who have dedicated their lives so that we may have Freedom that we sometimes take for granite!! GOD BLESS AMERICA                                                                     MY SON (GEOFF)

WHAT FUN THING AM I GOING TO DO TODAY?? I took this picture from my Family room window on Sunday Morning. I call him Foxy because he is a Fox Squirrel. You can just about set your clock by his morning run through our yard. He comes by between 8am and 8:30am every morning, but on this peculiar morning he stop and stood up and stayed long enough for me to run to the Computer Room and grab the camera and take a picture. Hope you enjoy the picture as much as I enjoyed taking it.

(Picture above Christen our GREAT WAITRESS, Dura Anne, BEST Friend, ME) Every Tuesday and Thursday I meet my Best Friend at Ruby Tuesday's. We have been doing this for several years now. We have kinda got attached to the Waiters and Waitresses. They are all Great and the food is Good. Eating out can be relaxing or not so great if you do not  get good service. So when you eat out and your Waiter or Waitresses is extra pleasant, Make sure you are let them know they are appreciated.

Today in London, Kentucky we attend a Tea Party in front of the Laurel County Court House.  Much like the Boston Tea Party in 1773, Where colonists in Boston protested against Taxation without representation,  They refused to accept three ship loads of taxed tea and they also refused to send it back to Britain. So some Colonists boarded the ships one night and threw all the tea into the Boston Harbor because they believed that it violated their constitutional right to be taxed only by their own elected representatives. Therefore being called The Boston Tea Party. There was no Written agenda today. Anyone who wanted to express their concerns could speak.  Which we all did by showing up. Mostly the crowd protested all the spending by Washington because their Children, Grandchildren and Gr...

As I was going up the Driveway this afternoon to my Home in London, Ky, I saw the deer laying just over the hill.  They were all laying down, I guess it was nap time.  So I got my camera out and rolled down the window and started taking pictures. The one just looked at me as if to say "You are disrupting my afternoon nap." Can you find the deer in Picture #2 ??? Hope you enjoy these photos as much as I had taking them.

Kentucky Fried Chicken   Where it all began, Corbin Kentucky in Laurel County. My daughter and I had lunch at KFC in Corbin, Ky. We live in Laurel County and It had been awhile since we had eat at KFC, it was really good.   Harlan David Sanders started serving his chicken dishes to travelers that visited a local service station in Corbin, Ky in the 30's. Colonel Sanders story is a very inspiring Story. If you are ever in Corbin, Ky stop and eat at the original KFC, it is worth the visit.

It's that time of the year again... I had to beg my son-in-law to drag the Christmas tree out of the basement. Not really, I didn't have to beg he was willing, after 20 trips up and down the basement steps I finally had all the boxes with the decorations up stairs.  4 hours later I had finally had the tree completed.  Here is the Flannery Christmas Tree.  Merry Christmas!!!
