On November 1st the Northshore Area Board of Realtors will be hosting their 2nd Annual Northshore Realtor Chili Challenge at Fairview-Riverside State Park in Madisonville. Open to the public 11:00am till 3:00pm. Come taste all the different types of chili and watch the teams compete! Portion of the proceeds will support the local St. Tammany & Tangipahoa Association of Retarded Citizens. Tickets are $6.00 and little peppers under 5 are free! All you can eat chili plus beer, soft drinks and hot dogs. Kids, wear your costume to the park for a costume contest! A fishing derby will be held April 5th at Fairview-Riverside State Park in Madisonville.  This park is located on the banks of the Tchefuncte River.  There will be bait provided but each youngster must bring his or her fishing pole.  There will be an educator from the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Department on site.  For more information call 792-4652. 03/29/2008

I think I might be the only one in my neighborhood that didn't go out of town this weekend.  I actually took advantage of the day off and did some work outside.  You know honey do's.  She made me cut the grass so the Christmas decorations would look nice.  Can you believe that???????  I am just glad I don't have to go shopping tomorrow.  Good luck to you who choose to. 11/22/2007

I am conducting an open house today in Madisonville from 2-4 at 209 Whispering Lane.  This house is an acadian style only three years old.  Chattanooga red brick floors in the kitchen and den give it a French Quarter type feel.  The kitchen is large and has plenty of custom made cypress cabinets.  The master has white oak floors with an attached office and large walk in closets.  The master bath is large along with a jacuzzi tub.Antique Chattanooga brick makes and vinyl makes up the exterior.  This house has real functional cypress shutters along with sprinkler system.  Located in Whispering Timbers Subdivision on over an acre and cul-de-sac.  This house is a sleeper and shows very nice.   07/29/2007

I just wanted to show you Guys and Ladies this floor in the kitchen of a house I listed in Madisonville Louisiana.  This is a full brick of antique Chattanooga red.  The slab was recessed enough to set the brick.  The den and family room also have the same floor.  My wife went ape over it,  I must admit I like it also.  Those cabinets are cypress,  there must be twenty of them  Forgive me I am still working on the picture alignment. 07/18/2007
