French Quarter Condos and Balconies       French Quarter Balconies are one of the most sought out features of condos in the New Orleans French Quarter Condo Market.  The numbers do not show up in the square footage prices but they are worth thousands of dollars.  Its the feel and views to have a street balcony that tops the list. There are 2 types of balconies...The Gallery and a standard balcony. Many times they are just grouped togeather.       A Gallery is connected to the ground which allows them to be larger and have roofs. They are supported by columns and can be as high as three stories. Just open your window and hop out. Most condo units that face the street do not have doors to get out. Just crawl out the window.  Many of the interior balconies do have french doors to exit tha...

French Quarter Condos           The French Quarter is going to have a large variety of condos that will vary in size, style and age. This page will give you a variety and feel for many of the condos that I see. I will be adding to this page going forward since there are so many small associations.        The vast majority of condos in the French Quarter will be used as second homes.  From the map below you can see that the Quarter is just not that large but there are a lot of properties as we review the condo associations.       Most of the condo associations are small complexes of eight or less. Many will have small courtyards which cannot be seen from the street. Parking will not come with the majority of condos.         The New Orleans French Quarter is unique in so many respects an...

The French Quarter Views Streets, Unique Shops and Window Shopping       One of the reasons owning a second home in the French Quarter is there is always so muc to see and do. The activities change monthly. In addition to Christmas, New Years, Mardi Gras, French Quarter Fest, Jazz Fest, Conventions, Saints Football games you just have a lot to see.       Just walking the streets looking into shops and windows is totally different than where people make their first home.  They the second homers come to have fun and have a good time. Just park the car and walk for a weekend or weeks and you never get to see it all.     French Quarter Window Shopping   It's Fun and it Free...Window Shopping leading to Carinval Window Shopping for Art Work, Colorful and Bright  Lots of Unique Clothes, "Hon...

French Quarter Courtyards and Gardens Many of them in Condos       Many of these courtyards are not easily seen from the street but there will be several on each street. Wanted to share what you can see and maany that you will not see.  A condo with a nice courtyard and pool do add value to your condo.  Its a great place to enjoy and have a quiet snack and drink. The Mississippi River Flows by the  New Orleans French Quarter       The Reason New Orleans was settled by the French in 1718 was its position and high ground on the Mississippi River. Today it is a must see place and it runs from Elysian Fields to Canal Street with plenty of access fromt he French Quarter.        This first photo is of the setting sun in the early evening. We are looking east but it is the West Bank of New Orleans. The name Crescent City means the Mississippi is making a big curve on its way to the Guld of Mexico.    Sunrise on the Mississippi looking down river to the Bywater Neighborhood from the River Walk Looking at the West Babk of New Orleans as you appraoch the River Walk Park which goes all the way to the Convention Center The Immigrant Statue in Waldenberg Pa...

Walking the Streets of the French Quarter       As a real estate agent and avid photographer the French Quarter is always alive with things to do and see.  Many times it can be quiet however and that is when the buildings just pop out at you. So lets take a quick waalk around the French Quarter and see the streets.         These are streets with few people, want to focus on the buildings and the streets. No car or no people. It's like history is stopped.          Colorful Cottages in New Orleans French Quarter Royal Street and St. Ann, Rounded Corners Corner of Chartres and St. Phillip, A Hotel Barracks Balcony looking down the Street Townhome in the French Quarter Chartres Street Corner, so may colorful corners The wives and girl friends are just steps from shopping....Delightful Bric...
