Cambridge 1 and 2 bedroom condos continued their upward climb from a strong 2013 in the first quarter of 2014. With high buyer demand and low interest rates I expect this trend to continue through 2014 and into 2015.
LIFE IS A WORK IN PROGRESS Life is like a drama. Each scene emerges bringing us joy or sorrow and then… it vanishes and we find ourselves in the next scene!!! We embrace the scenes that make us happy and often times resist those that bring us sorrow or pain. In this program we will explore the state of consciousness we need to achieve to find the strength to face the different scenes that come our way. Because life is work in progress until the very end! First-time buyers looking across the river from Boston to Cambridge didn't see much price relief over the past 6 years. Looking back in the January 1, 2007 - March 1, 2007 timeframe we saw that the average sale price of one bedroom condos was $363K. Fast forward to 2013 and add 20% and that is where you find the average one bedroom condo in 2013 - priced at $436K. Given high demand and low interest rates we are definitely going to see a very competitive market in the Spring 2013 time-frame. Make sure you are working with a buyer agent, like Buyer Agents of Boston, that is versed in competitive and multiple bid situations.

Too much Self Esteem and not enough Confidence seems to be an epidemic in our younger society these days and it affects younger real estate professionals, both buyer and sellers. Yesterday was a beautiful day in Cambridge. The streets were warm with people walking leisurely through the morning air on the brick walkways that criss-cross throughout the neighborhoods. Harvard Street is equidistant between Harvard Square and Central Square. The streets are tree lined and yesterday the stately Colonials were festooned with American Flags. This is a very sweet neighborhood and we were in town to do an inspection. An inspection of a home before you go to the P&S is a wonderful time to see and understand the inner workings of the house you are planning to buy. An inspector will be systematic, and I mean that literally. They will check all of the systems in the house, the electric, the plumbing, the heating, the hot water, the A/C-if there is one, the windows, the doo...
