What's happening in Leominster? We are seeing activity in the bottom end of the market (like everywhere else). However, there seems to be some activity close to happening in the upper end of the market as well. Overall we are seeing less Sold units (homes selling) than we have in 2007 (so far). Until we see units increase, the basics of Econimics tell me that we will not nbe seeing price increases anytime soon. That being said, it is still a good opportunity to buy a home - as long as you are not looking at a 1 to 2 year time frame. If that is the case - RENT! It just amazes me that so much money continues to move into or around the New York Stock Exchange, yet the housing market in most regions of the country are falling rapidly. It seems to me that the entire body of the real estate industry needs to work together more to help clients understand just how valuable investment in a home is. I think that stock brokers are winning the battle for our buyers' and sellers' attention. I'm personally going to talk about this with clients, customers, coworkers, friends, and family as much as possible. At face value, it seems like a reasonable request; a quiet business, not much traffic...what harm could there be? Quite a bit unfortunately...The basis of whether or not to pass the petition has nothing to do with whether or not the business owners are nice people as Councilor Dave Rowlands expressed in his well-spoken comments. I don't usually agree with Mr. Rowlands views but in this case I think he hit the nail on the head.
