365 things to do in Worcester County - Back to School Shopping in Millbury Walmart -Today my family kidnapped me away from my work so that I could join them for a family outing to go to "back to school shopping".  My daughters and my husband made lists of supplies that they needed.  Leanne who is going to school, had not only note books, pens, and other supplies you would expect but also bedding, bathing and laundry items.  It felt like she was starting her own house hold.  The only thing I'm confused about is why everything had to be in the color green? My youngest child, Sarah had a list as well.  She needed binders, pencils (the mechanical kind, of course) and the like.  My husband, who is a high school teacher, also had a list.  Now, this surprises me every year, and may be it shoul...

Why Buy Real Estate? July Pending Home Sales are down in Millbury, Massachusetts but.... The July 2010 average & median price for the pending home sales in Millbury improved in comparison to the figures from July of 2009. According to MLSPIN, our local Mulitple Listing Service, in the month of July 2010, Eight Millbury Single Family Homes went under agreement.  Back in 2009, TEN Millbury Single Family homes were placed under agreement for the month of July.  The twist is that the difference was two single family homes that went under agreement with a list price of less than $100,000!  This year the July pending home sales did not include any under $100,000 so the average and median prices actually increased.

Millbury is situated in central MA just outside of Worcester at the crossroads of the MA Pike and rte 146. It is equally convenient to Boston and Providence. Millbury has the feel of a typical new england town with gazebo on the town common, historic and stately homes as well as a typical Main st with lots of shops. Just 3 miles from town center are "The shops at Blacksstone Valley" a large collection of top retailers and restaurants. There is easy access to MA Pike (90) and also commuter rail to Boston.
