If you have equity in your home, and are considering downsizing or upgrading, this could effect you in a positive way. As of now, first time home buyers have until December 1st to gain the benefits of the tax credit.  Throughout its history Peabody has been a regional employment center for the North Shore. Now, with its rejuvenated downtown, major shopping centers, busy industrial base and new retail centers, Peabody has grown into a vibrant, diverse community, and a wonderful place to live and raise a family. Called the Tanner City for its rich history of producing leather products as part of a strong economic base, Peabody has some of the most impressive housing developements on the North Shore. As a former resident of Peabody I always recommend home buyers look into the housing opportunities in a well run city that offers low property taxes, a reduced  electrical utility payment program and many cultural events including museums, galleries and historic farms of Brooksby Village. For more informatio...
