I knew I would have multiple offers and I was anticipating some grumpy buyers and agents.  I chose to put the property on the market and not have an open house the first week. Spring May be Cold this year, but REAL ESTATE IN TAUNTON IS HOT! We had a cold winter, this is true, and I am helping more sellers and buyers this year than I have in the past 3 winters! The Taunton River Here are the trends- the short version: First Time Home Buyers and Investors aren't out in droves as in the prior years. We are seeing more "move up" buyers or "downsize buyers". I want Re-Negotiate the Price After Home Inspection I hear this on occasion and feel that most buyers are mis-informed, especially on homes that are priced to sell.  Let me speak candidly, as a first response to the home inspection the buyer wants a drastic price reduction. This is not he right way to approach this situation. The key is to be sure to be fair to the seller, not on their side, but fair, and the truth  be told- the Home Inspection is not a tool for re-negotiation.
