Literally, five minutes ago, I learned a valuable lesson in Public Relations.  I am really excited about my 365 things to do in Worcester County blog for today.  I will be writing it up soon.  Today is Veteran's day and as it happens, the participants in the parade are gathering right under my office window, how cool is that? I went down stairs and filmed some of the preparation for the upcoming parade.  As it was chilly 39 degrees I went across the parking lot to Dunkin Donuts for a cup of yummy hot coffee.  I decided on trying Gingerbread flavor, with my usual order of Extra large, 5 splendas, extra skim milk.  Hey, it's breakfast of champions as far as I'm concerned.  As I walked in, I noticed a man in the fatigues placing his order.  He was getting 4 small cups of coffee.  The girl ...

365 things to do in Worcester County - Shop at the Mediterranean market in Worcester.  I just heard of this grocery store on Pleasant St. that caters to Mediterranean cuisine connoisseurs.  Perhaps it was not the first time I heard of this market, but now that my ears are always perked to what to do in Worcester county, the message resonated with me.   For four generations, the Hyder family has been providing the people of Worcester with the finest in imported and domestic food and wines. I thought that a while back I saw a story about it on local chanel and now I want to know more.  May be it's just a craving for olives or marinated mushrooms, I'm not really sure, but I am definitely adding this to one of my 365 things to do in Worcester County - Shop at the Mediterranean market in Wor...

All the national economists, strategists and top Realtor's, who have been in this business allot longer than me, have classified now as the best time there has ever been to invest in Real Estate. These are the people who live and track this stuff! This is due to a very unique combination of very low interest rates, rock bottom home prices, record high affordability index, many motivated sellers and  banks who have to sell. As Real Estate professionals this is the only message we should be spreading. It is my responsibility as a Real Estate professional to educate the general public about these unique opportunities and I would try and encourage you to do the same. I attended a presentation a few weeks back and one of the speakers comments really stuck with me. He said "95% of our comm...

This is a kick off for the biggest spirit for Arthur Murray Schools so keep watch for other interesting blogs.  We have lots of dance parties to celebrate, each with a different theme.  I really enjoy dancing and the video featured here is my doing the Waltz, not one of the dances I've done much, but I can certainly attempt to follow. I hope that everyone has a ...

365 things to do in Worcester County - enjoy Japanese Food at Sakura Tokyo, Worcester.  Located at 640 Park Ave, in Worcester, Sakura Tokyo ranks is one of my favorite restaurants in Worcester for Japanese cuisine.  One of my favorite reasons is that there is always a show at the Tepinyaki tables.  I love the volcano made out of onions and the throwing of the shrimp into the patron's mouths is certainly going to be an ice breaker.  The food is fresh and the sushi melts in your mouth.  I have enjoyed the ginger salad dressing so much that I have brought a container of it home.  The best part of the meal as we all know is the desert and Sakura Tokyo does not disappoint.  I don't know where I had the yummiest or a bigger portion of fried green tea icecream.  It is amazing! There is a bar s...

365 things to do in Worcester County - Cheap lunch at Worcester State University, Worcester.  Alright, so I missed a perfect opportunity to do a great video blog for Worcester State University Cafeteria.  I spent a day in class at Worcester State University in Worcester and the instructor suggested that we try the student cafeteria.  Upon further investigation, we found out that if we get to the cafeteria before 12:30 pm, our cost will be $5.00 instead of $8.00 for all you can eat meal. Sure enough, I was surprised to discover a very cool selection of drinks.  There were coffee and hot chocolate dispensers.  Cappuccino dispenser, all kinds of sodas and a variety of flavored waters.  I especially thought that Strawberry and Orange flavored water, presented in a clear glass pitcher with f...

365 things to do in Worcester county - volunteer to be a bone marrow donor. The Definition: Blood and bone marrow donation is a voluntary process. You agree to allow doctors to draw blood stem cells from your blood or bone marrow for transplantation. Blood stem cells from blood and bone marrow donation are used to treat some cancers, such as leukemia, multiple myeloma and lymphoma, and other diseases. You might consider blood and bone marrow donation because you have a family member who needs a transplant and doctors think that you're likely to be a good match for that person. If you have any questions about the donor process, please contact them at 1-800-726-2824 or recruitment@crir.org. 365 things to do in Worcester County - Go to MAR convention in Worcester.  Why do I recommend going to MAR convention in Worcester to all of my readers?  Well, there are many reasons: 1.  It's convenient, no longer do I need to go to Boston or to Rhode Island.  It's right there, centrally located, plenty of (paid) parking, approximately 20 minutes door to door from my house. 2.  In one convention, you can fulfill your licensing obligation and receive your continuing education classes for the two year period, instead of hunting them down at the last minute. 3.  As a Broker or an agent, there are courses available to you that will enhance your real estate career and protect not only the way you do business, but also your clients' interests and pocket books. 4.  The trade show is full of o...

365 things to do in Worcester County - Take a negotiation Class from CRS in Worcester . Did you know that the latin root of the word Negotiate is to manage?  Do you find that your negotiations are adversarial?  That you are working from a position bargaining?  Ever consider that the buyer and the seller have the same goal, the buyer wants to buy and the seller wants to sell, and yet one or both of the real estate agents sometimes get in the way.   Well this CRS sponsored class is phenomenal.  Taught by a master instructor, Ed Hatch, the class takes you through the process of human predictable behavior to the core of the motivation to achieve the negotiated resolution.  This is a full day course and I was not bored for a minute.  Ed kept you involved, interested and entertained every st...
