Hampden town meeting agrees to fund study for possible new police station   HAMPDEN - Voters at Monday’s special Town Meeting by a majority vote approved the appropriation of $15,000 for a study for a possible new police station.  Police Chief Jeffrey Farnsworth said the Police Department is operating “24/7 out of an 800 square foot space in the Town Hall.” “Our server room is a bath room,” he said. “We can’t store files.” Farnsworth said there is no room to expand in the current Town Hall. “We are looking for a recommendation to expand in the most cost effective way,” Farnsworth said. Also at the special Town Meeting, voters approved by majority vote an appropriation of $14,000 for a thermal imaging camera for the Fire Department. The camera can be used to find the hot spot in a fire o...
