Skatefest 2015 - Baltimore Inner Harbor This annual event was supposed to happen on Monday but because of the weather on Monday it was postponed to tonight.  Skatefest is an alternative to the Polar Bear Plunge that benefits the Special Olympics.   The Waterfront Partnership and Constellation are offering an opportunity to donate to the Special Olympics by skating on the ice, rather than diving into it!!  For a donation of $5 anyone wishing to participate will receive admission and skate rental, all proceeds collected go to the Maryland Special Olympics.  There will be music, a skating "Beary White", giveaways and refreshments will be offered by La Cakerie and two hours of skating.  This is a great opportunity for families to take the kids out to skate for an inexpensive event.
