Foreclosure Vs Short Sale Foreclosure Vs Short Sale There are many homeowners today without a clear understanding of the differences between a foreclosure and a short sale.  The consequences a homeowner faces between the two can have a huge impact on their credit and employment especially if their job requires a security clearance.     In an effort to help these homeowners who may not be aware of the advantages and disadvantages of foreclosure vs short sale, I would like to explain the points at issue and consequences of both.     In a foreclosure credit your credit score may be lowered from 250 to over 300 points and it typically can affect your score for over 3 years. With a successful short sale on your home only late payments on a mortgage will show and after sale mortgage will be ...

And why I sound different than the way I normally talk-Technology? Maybe. Bad enough that I don't like to be in front of cameras. But sometimes you have to do what you have to do. And I am practicing my video making so when its time to do my first independent or big budget movie for a major movie studio,I will be ready.       And of course I am going to reach out to either Jennifer Fivelsdal -check out this one by her Speechless Sunday - Locust Grove Another Hudson Valley Historic Site and Mary Douglas-check out this one by her Speechless Sunday; Don't Buck the System. as one of my Director of Photography. ...

Beginning in 2010, $150 will be donated to charities following every sale I make.   The charitable contributions will distributed as follows: $50 will be donated to the Angie Houtz Memorial Fund or a charity of my choosing.  The Angie Houtz Memorial Fund was established after my best friend was killed in the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon.  These funds are used to fund scholarships for students attending public colleges and universities in Maryland and who show a commitment to community service.  The remaining $100 can be given to the charity of buyer/seller's choosing.  The $100 can be divided among several charities or given to one place.  All charities chosen must be registered non-profit agencies.  If a client does not have a favorite charity, then can select from my favorite charities...

There was a mix of good and bad news for Bowie MD real estate last month, as I look at the November statistics published by MRIS.  These were my questions:  How many homes sold?  What happened to prices? Good news for Bowie homesellers:  Days on Market in the 20715 zipcode were down in October more than 52% from the same month last year.  Homes that sold in Bowie last month were on the market less than two months compared to four months in October 2008. There's more good news... The number of homes sold is up 10% from last year. The best news, however, is the fact that new listings and new non-contingent contracts are gaining balance in Bowie.  If we also consider the contingent contracts, the total number of new homebuyers last month in the 20715 zipcode was 35 - vs. 28 new listings.  I'm going to be watching this set of statistics for the next few months because it could be the first indication of a positive trend for Bowie home owners and sellers.  (On the other hand, buyers may have...
