Jan and I had another great time getting together with members of Active Rain today at a charity walk in Chesapeake Beach MD. Idea of Cheryl Ritchie and coordinated by Margaret Rome, who called me at 10:30 last night to make sure I would show... ...I have since blocked incoming calls from that number...a fine time was had by all.         Too much breakfast food was consumed by the participants with the exception of Lenn Harley who is disciplined in all things. Host a Fourth of July Client Celebration! But it is the most organized disorganized event I sponsor every year. And those are the kind that turn out great. In my little Southern Maryland Bay Side Town, there is a Boardwalk that extends along the Beach and Chesapeake Bay. You know who lives you know where. So every year the Town hosts Fireworks over the Chesapeake Bay the day before the Fourth. I do not even send invitations until the eleventh hour. Ditto for phone calls. Ditto for prep time. The party is on no matter whether I am ready or not. Let's see...Mash's ham is on order, water and ice need to be picked up the day before, and potato salad fixins are ready. That was before they became Celebrities in our small Town. That was before they were a household word. And before everyone knew and loved them. As a real estate agent for decades you meet and work with a lot of people. Along the way, some people stand out as really, really special. First of all, let me clarify the Pat and Bob Carpenter is spelled PatandBobCarpenter with no spaces. You realize pretty quickly that there is a very nice love story here. At five for a dollar apiece, I bought all 25. Well, a couple of pomegranate, too. You eat that stuff in the morning and I guess because of the protein you then forget to eat until way later in the day.
