Okay, quick, bookmark this! http://www.realtor.org/technology/nar_twitter Then snoop around, cause This is Realtor Neat! Tweet with NAR! I wanted to see the 2011 Home Buyers and Sellers Guide. It comes out late Fall. One Starbucks Latte Later, I usually have those Realtor Stats inhaled. So I googled it. Then I landed on this sweet tweet NAR page. Instead of calling, emailing, blah blah blah fifteen minutes of time later, five seconds later the tweet is on the street. You know when I do get that data I will be posting away about this trend or that. PLUS the extra cool part is all the Twitter NAR feeds you can follow on Tech Stuff and Research etc. A whole page of good Realtor Resource ideas in quick daily doses. yUM. I liked the @askNAR one to get a quick question done. Go ahead, load up...

The Official Name is Bayfront Park but the Locals call it Brownie's Beach in Chesapeake Beach Maryland . Want to look for Shark's Teeth? Catch a view of the Calvert County Cliffs? See a glimpse of the Eastern Shore on a Clear Day? Soak up some RAYS? Kite Board your heart away? Catch the best view around for Fourth of July Fireworks? Take a Picnic?  Hunt for seashells? Go for a Stroll along the Chesapeake Bay on the Boardwalk? Dodge a few Sea Nettles? Of course I had to throw that one in to make sure you were paying attention. Jelly fish sting and that's not anyone's thing. But if you want a quaint visit to the Chesapeake Bay Shores, head your oars toward the South end of the Town of Chesapeake Beach  MD  on a nice summer day. Bring your hiking boots, because there's quite a trek through...

Happy Mother's Day to my Greatest Mom! Which in current slang means she is the BOMB! She handles everything with APLOMB! She is my Favorite Fan. She approaches everything as "I CAN." She is always there for me. She is always HAPPY as can be. Every day she greets with CHEER. That alone is quite DEAR. One thing is quite sure. Her GrandDog, Riley Rover, says, " Move Over!" When Nana comes BY to say, "Hi." Plus he is SAD when she says ,"Bye." When it comes to a Great Mom There just is no TIE. My Mom rates Higher than HIGH! Happy Mother's Day from Cheryl and Riley Rover.

I set up a tour of homes for a new client and her dad last week. We were looking at low-end properties mostly short sales. The first house we entered there was one teenager watching 3 children. All of them were on one type of electronic device or another. The house showed poorly, trash on the floor, unkept areas, unflushed toilets and just general bad housekeeping. The Master bedroom was locked so we couldn't even view that part of the house. It wasn't a great start to our tour and low and behold this house won't be sold anytime soon. Our faith was restored on house 2. We were greeted by an enthusiastic 4th grader named Alejandro (think Manny from Modern Family). He proceeded to steal the show and present the house room by room . His grandmother tried to stop him but I told her to let h...

Southern Maryland "Tails" of Sheer Joy from a Dog's Perspective...I saw sheer Joy in my Golden Retriever today. I took him to my friend's Farm on the Water in Prince Frederick MD. She lives in a Farmhouse on the River. There is lots of land and lots of room to roam as in Riley Rover could run and run. Then he could dive into the River, cold as it could be, fetch a few sticks and then run more. We walked while he ran to his heart's content. It was JOY in a bottle to see him run full throttle. I do not need to mention that he is zonked out at my side snoozing to his heart's content this evening. One Golden Arches dollar sundae later, he is one content, joyful pooch. I had this ECON Teacher at Va Tech and..... He made it fun. He made it fascinating. He made it so you just never wanted to miss his class. He told stories. Then when you were right at the edge of your sit, literally, laughing and wanting to hear more, he would stop. HUH? Yep, stop. The cliffhanger of the week. And the next week, he would speak more. Until you got to the edge of your seat. Then right at the best beat, he would, yep, stop. Give you the end of the story, NOT! It was kind of neat. He had his own beat. So who is to say, that when we blog, that wouldn't be SWEET? And the treat...blogs everyone wants to keep! Day One and Two of 31 Days of December Challenge.... Well, this is easy right now to post. I have my Annual Open House tomorrow. It's a Wreath Making Dinner Party. My clients, coworkers, neighbors, friends, family and entire Network are invited each year to some Holiday Fun. December 1 I was getting all the groceries together. December 2 I was pulling down vines for the homemade wreaths. Dec 3 is the real deal. My house is open for all the people I want to share the Holidays with the good Old Fashioned Way. I also stopped by a beautiful home and gave tips on how to get it ready for the Spring Market. Oh, and I presented an offer. And I signed up for www.RBinetel.com NEW Market stats for blogging purposes. I also studied the new Oprah's Favorite Things Nikon Camera and compared it to the...

HOME SOLD IN CALVERT COUNTY MD WILL BENEFIT FROM THE "ENERGY STAR" FEATURES. The beautiful new home in Chesapeake Beach that closed last week was an "ENERGY STAR" home.  The new owner will benefit from the energy efficient features incorporated into the construction and materials for years to come.  I received notice of that benefit AFTER the buyer went to contract.  The builder was approved for the ENERGY STAR designation a short while following the sale.  However, they incorporated these valuable features in my buyers home.  There was no added cost to the buyer.  KEEPING HEAT IN THE HOUSE IS IMPORTANT.  The photo below shows one of the ENERGY STAR features.  Heat is not permitted to escape into attics through the pull-down opening on the upper level.  This thermal material heat seal i...

I am working on my iPAD installation along with iTunes and then of course this means the iPOD is also in the project list. Late last night I was determined to work on this but the iPAD would not synch my new Bruce Springsteen, Norah Jones, Kid Rock, or Rascal Flats CD's correctly. I threw the towel in around Midnight and realized I would tackle it in the morning. Low and behold, with a fresh outlook, I was able to realize that Norah Jones name had not filled in so I typed it in. Presto, one fix. They had Bruces' name in reverse. Springsteen, Bruce did not filter in to Bruce Springsteen CD's  when you think like an iPOD. Presto, two fixed. Kid Rock just took another try. Then I think the glitch on Rascal Flatts was a  checkmark by compilation. You have to uncheck the compilation choice u...
