This afternoon, I had an Open House at a wonderful home in Chevy Chase, Maryland.  and when it was time to leave, I checked the doors on all three levels to make sure they were locked.The master bedroom has it's own veranda overlooking the back yards up and down the block, which were full of trees in various stages of changing colors.  To the right, there was a bush turning red, and a burst of orange where the afternoon sun played with the leaves.  To the left, there were small bits of purple and red, with a wispy yellow tree to the side.  I couldn't help but think how wonderful it would be to sit on that veranda on warm (or warmish) mornings with a cup of something with caffine, sipping and enjoying the beautiful colors up and down the street.Oh, and the house is beautiful, too!Here is... 10/25/2015

What is going on with the Chevy Chase 20815 Real Estate market in SEPTEMBER 2015 ? The good news is that it is behaving exactly as it should. Sales were stronger in September 2015 than in the same period last year.  There is a natural seasonal reduction in sales activity from August's numbers when everyone was trying to get their children in school, but that is to be expected.  Another bit of data worth considering is that the months following January did not see a significant bump in prices although there was a good bump in April and another in July with the other months remaining relatively flat over the last few months.
