Crofton MD Detached Homes with Basements, November 30, 2013

Most of the homes in Olde Crofton, bordered by Rt. 3, Rt. 424, and Rt. 450, were built in the 60's and 70's, and don't have basements. If I were to hazard a guess based on experience, I would say about 20%. Basements, especially when they are finished, are a feature that many home buyers have on their needs list. Even though they may not get full value for living space by appraisers, buyers love finished basements. The extra living space is just that good. Since Crofton has expanded well beyond the confines of the Crofton Triangle, and, with the advent of newer homes being built, almost all of the newer construction homes have basements.
