Trader Joe's Pumpkin CheesecakeIn a recent comment, Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP recommended the Trader Joe's Pumpkin Cheesecake. Chef Dolores is adding one to her list for her next visit to Trader Joe's. The cheesecake has good reviews. You might also want to give it a try.  What’s so satisfying about Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cheesecake? This creamy dessert is made with loads of rich, smooth cream cheese, impressive amounts of real pumpkin (the pumpkins we use are no longer round by the time they get this far), and seasonal pumpkin pie spices. It makes a quick and easy dessert for a special occasion or a weeknight supper with the family. Carve it up, but stick with slices, as jack-o’-lantern-style carving would leave some cheesecake lovers at your table with significantly less to che...

ActiveRain October Challenge: My Favorite Success StoryThe October challenge for ActiveRain blogger members is to post a favorite blogging success story. I've been retired for several years, so it is difficult to select a single success story from the many relationships and transactions that made my retirement possible. During the last twenty years of my real estate career my personal focus was on the sale of foreclosures. I referred listings and regular sales transactions to my several associates while I worked exclusively with foreclosure purchasers and the government agencies marketing foreclosures. So, my marketing challenge was to generate referrals to keep several associates busy and highly productive while attracting foreclosure purchasers that would allow me to close a high volu...

Frosh today warned consumers to be cautious of purchasing vehicles that may have been impacted by major flood damage. While these vehicles should be marked “salvage” or “total loss” on the title, dishonest sellers may “wash” the title, hide the damage, and offer these vehicles for sale.“Consumers purchasing a used car after a hurricane should always be wary that the vehicle may be irreparably damaged and not the good deal it appears to be,” said Attorney General Frosh.Signs of a flooded vehicle m...
