County Health Officials Urge Residents to Get a Flu ShotMontgomery County health officials are urging residents to get a flu vaccination and will hold clinics for adults and children in October and November. While getting a flu vaccination does not protect against COVID-19, flu shots have been shown to reduce the risk of flu illness, hospitalization and death. Solitaire Court Stream Restoration Project UnderwayConstruction at Diamond Farms Park for the Solitaire Court Stream Restoration project is underway. The project will repair the eroded stream banks, protect underground utility pipelines, remove invasive plants, prevent stream migration onto private property, and improve functionality of a tributary to Long Draught Branch of Great Seneca Creek.The Park’s playground and courts will be open during the 6 to 8 month construction period.
