“People are like the petals on a flower” I received this comment on the flower in this photograph. I thought you would enjoy reading it. My thanks to Patricia Feager, MBA, GRI, Cert Negotiations Expert, Military Relo Prof.  “People are like the petals on a flower. No two are ever the same. Some more vibrant that others. Sweet? Bigger? Better? Too clingy, just right? More fragrant and grand? Raindrops on petals, tears in some eyes - all could do better with a smile and staying positive. People are the just like veins on a leaf. They need to stay energized like sunshine in the RAIN.” – Patricia Feager Dahlia IMG 5685Photograph by Roy Kelley Roy and Dolores Kelley Photographs

'Pedophile Alert' Email is a Scam Some area residents have received an email saying a sex offender may be in the area and provides a link to learn who the offenders are and where they live. This email is a scam to infect computers and find credit card and password information. Consumers need to be alert and avoid using links from unconfirmed sources. Colors of the Season, Kentlands Photowalk IMG 9823Photograph by Roy Kelley Roy and Dolores Kelley Photographs

Book Recommendation: Bad Faith by Robert K. Tanenbaum  Bad Faith (2012) is thriller number 24 in the Butch Karp series by New York Times bestselling author Robert K. Tanenbaum. If you enjoy crime novels, you may wish to add this series to your reading list.Books by Robert K. Tanenbaum “New York District Attorney Butch Karp has no qualms about putting David and Nonie Ellis on trial following the excruciating death of their young son, Micah. To him, the case is cut-and-dried—reckless manslaughter. Helpless ten-year-old Micah counted on his parents to protect him from the effects of a rare but treatable cancer. Instead, the Ellis family relied solely on prayer and the guidance of snake-oil salesman Reverend C. G. Westlund, of the End of Days Reformation Church of Jesus Christ Resurrected, ...

Happy Hour: New Belgian Trippel, Belgian Style Ale I have decided to continue my Blogging Beverage series during January as we explore tasting opportunities. You will note that I am changing the name of the series because some do not like to mix blogging with drinking. Please share your suggestions if you have a name idea better than 'Happy Hour'. If you enjoy or want to try a Belgian Style Ale, I suggest Tripple by New Belgium Brewing Co. in Fort Collins, CO. Our Trippel has always been a big, beautiful Belgian-style ale, but in 2015, we tweaked the recipe to include a new yeast variety and even more complex malt profile. This golden beer opens with a bold blast of spicy Noble hops, courtesy of Saaz and Hallertau Mittlefruh, and gives way to the fruity aromas offered by our traditional...
