Wine Selection: 2013 Villa Cerrina Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Italy Chef Dolores made an eggplant based pizza and her wine selection was the 2013 Villa Cerrina Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, a product of Italy. This ruby red wine is made with Multepulciano grapes grown in Aburzzo, central Italy. Blogging Beverage: Estival Cream Stout by SKA  Colorado blogger Debbie Laity has encouraged me to sample more of the craft beers from her home state. Kentlands Photowalk: Cupid’s Dart IMG 4614 One of the benefits of the Kentlands community in Gaithersburg, Maryland 20878 is that it is a very walkable neighborhood. I like to take early morning walks and photograph the plants and flower that I notice in passing. This hobby does require you to take a closer look at the small gifts of nature.Kentlands is a favorite community for families moving to the Metro Area of Washington, DC. The showy violet-blue perennial flower of the aster family Catananche caerulea bears the common names Cupid's dart, blue cupidone, and cerverina. Kentlands Photowalk: Gazania IMG 4326 This gazania was photographed in our home garden in Kentlands, our neighborhood in Gaithersburg, Maryland 20878. These small flowers are very colorful and are fun to photograph. One of the benefits is that they are easy to grow. You may wish to plant a few gazanias in your garden or planter. Gazania species are grown for the brilliant color of their flowerheads which appear in the late spring and are often in bloom throughout the summer into autumn. Kentlands Annual Dog Swim  The pool season in Kentlands will end on Labor Day, Monday September 7 at 9 p.m.  The Social (Main) Pool will close at 4 p.m. for the season and the annual Dog Swim will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.  The Lap and Baby Pools will remain open until 9 p.m.Please be sure to review the Pool Rules posted in the locker rooms.For out of the area readers, Kentlands is a planned neo-traditional community located within the City of Gaithersburg in the heart of Montgomery County, Maryland. Blogging Beverage: Bloodline Blood Orange Ale by Flying Dog Dolores and I attended the Kentlands Summerfest Rodeo barbeque dinner by the pools in our home community. The food was good and we also enjoyed trying some of the selected beers from the Flying Dog Brewery in Frederick, Maryland.
