50th Wedding Anniversary for the Kelleys Dolores and I were married on June 12, 1965 at my family church in the Cradock section of my hometown, Portsmouth, Virginia. I never thought that I would live long enough to have a 50th wedding anniversary. In my mind, those celebrations were for others among my older friends and acquaintances. Fortunately, I selected the best wife in the world and she  has kept me well long enough for this special date. Dolores and I graduated from the same high school but were in different classes. I recognized her name but actually did not meet her until later years. During a Lions Club bus trip to an oyster roast, the Lion sitting next to me suggested that I should meet his young neighbor. At the time, Dolores was still living with her parents. She was probab...

Foreclosure Process in Maryland: More of the Same Some real estate professionals have wished for a faster foreclosure process in Maryland to reduce the number of homes pending foreclosure in their communities. During an interview with DSNEWS (Default Servicing), Maryland attorney Ronald S. Deutsch predicted that the time frame will remain the same in the near future.“The foreclosure process in Maryland will be substantially the same in a year or two. No new legislation is contemplated, so we are not expecting any significant changes to the process. Given the current backlog of foreclosures in the system, coupled with future origination and trial plan defaults, I would also expect that no significant changes will be experienced from current lower constricted volumes. That said, I would e...
