Mother's Day Memories My mother passed away many years ago but I will never forget the positive influence she made in my life. Fond memories are a good reminder of how mothers impact our lives. I was not aware of the existence of this photograph until my sister, Lynne E. Kelley posted it on Facebook for Mother's Day. This photograph was taken on my fourth birthday with my mother, Madge Roberts Kelley. The location was the side yard of our home in Cradock, Portsmouth, VA.

Celebrating National Tourism Day With a Work by Chaim GrossFor years May 7 was National Tourism Day. Now, with travel people being the promoters that they are, it's been rolled into a full-blown Tourism Week—and that week has actually grown to be nine days long.
