Book Recommendation: Unwilling Accomplice by Charles Todd   Charles Todd is the author of the Bess Crawford mysteries, the Inspector Ian Rutledge Mysteries and two stand alone novels. A mother (Caroline Todd) and son writing team, they live in Delaware and North Carolina, respectively. A recent book, Unwilling Accomplice (2014) is a Bess Crawford mystery. Dolores and I really enjoy these novels. They are like comfort food for the mind. Bess Crawford is a World War I battlefield nurse and the setting for this novel is wartime France and England. A patient in her charge goes missing after being decorated for gallantry by King George and murders follow as Bess Crawford untangles the mystery with her friend Simon Brandon. Green Tomatoes Recipes   In a recent blog, Sharon Tara asked what can be done with the surplus of green tomatoes that are available as tomatoes are picked before they have damage from heavy frost. This is a great topic since I happen to love green tomatoes in many different kinds of recipes.  My comment on Sharon's blog was to go to Pinterest for a very large selection of green tomato recipes. The following link will show what was found after a quick search for Green Tomatoes Recipes. If you are not yet using Pinterest, it is worth the effort to take advantage of the free membership if you do nothing other than use it as a source for recipes.     Green Tomatoes, Photograph by Roy Kelley Roy and Dolores Kelley Photographs

Autumn Colors in Kentlands: Chrysanthemums When I take my walks through Kentlands, our home community in Gaithersburg, Maryland, it is easy to see that chrysanthemums are among the most popular flowers for autumn displays. I like the variety of colors that are readly available at most of the garden centers and grocery stores at this time of the year.

Need a blog topic? Find a tree!   If you follow my blogs, you already know that I enjoy photography. It is easy to set aside the problems of the moment as you focus your attention and your camera on one of the gifts of nature. When you need a blog topic, just find a tree and take a photograph. You will think of something to say. This tree, in Kentlands, caught my attention because of the red leaves on the vine. The colors of autumn provide good blog topics.  Have a wonderful week with your camera in hand.     Autumn in Kentlands, Photograph by Roy Kelley Roy and Dolores Kelley Photographs

A surprise sketch   You never know what you will see next when you are active on social media. I have Facebook friends from around the world because of common interests in photography. One of my Facebook friends in India, Ignatious Kalayanthani, uses a sketch for his profile picture and he surprised me by sending my image that he sketched.  His reference material was from my profile photographs. I thought he did a pretty good job. What do you think? Ignatious Kalayanthani
