Dark and Stormy Night in Dublin (An Irish friend shared this story)   John Bradford, a Dublin University student, was on the side of the road hitchhiking on a very dark night and in the midst of a big storm. The night was rolling on and no car went by. The storm was so strong he could hardly see a few feet ahead of him. Suddenly, he saw a car slowly coming towards him and stopped. John, desperate for shelter and without thinking about it, got into the car and closed the door.. only to realize there was nobody behind the wheel and the engine wasn't on The car started moving slowly. John looked at the road ahead and saw a bend approaching. Scared, he started to pray, begging for his life. Trash Removal & Recycling Days in Kentlands   New residents of Kentlands always ask about the trash pick-up days and the recycling days. Kentlands is served by a private contractor for trash pick-up on Tuesdays and Fridays. Trash should be in garbage cans with secure tops. Note that the trash collectors will not take items that should be recycled. The Kentlands community is located within the City of Gaithersburg and the City provides recycling services each Thursday. As with the trash collections, recycling containers are collected from alleys as well as from the public streets. On the first Thursday of each month, the City of Gaithersburg provides pick-ups for bulk items such as appliances or furniture. Those items should be left on the sides of the public streets. Larger trucks are u...
