I am so excited, the Sugarloaf Craft Fair is this weekend!!  It is one of my favorite pre holiday activities.  There is so many great things to see there at the fair!! If you have never been to the Sugarloaf Craft Fair this is your weekend to go.  There are artists and crafts people from all over the country here in Gaithersburg at the Fairgrounds to sell.  I love getting the hot cider and shopping for treasures to start off the Holiday season.  They make perfect holiday gifts for family and friends, maybe a gift or two for yourself.  The show will be this weekend November 21, 22, and 23.

MAINE COON CAT RUNS AWAY AFTER LION CUT One of our Kentlands neighbors across from the club house reports that their large male Maine Coon Cat has escaped.  Felix had a recent "lion cut" and evidently was not pleased with the results. The City of Gaithersburg will celebrate Veteran's Day, November 11th,  at the City Hall Concert Pavillion at South Summit Ave.  Everyone is invited to come out and support our troops. The main speaker will be Rear Admiral Michael Browne, who graduate from the US Naval Academy in 1980.  There will be representatives from all branches of the military and local veterans groups.  Gaithersburg City Officials will be laying a wreath in a Memorial Ceremony on Tuesday.  Show your support to your community and to your troops and come out on Tuesday for the service. Wishing everyone a Happy Halloween.  The local weather in Gaithersburg  is supposed to be good for trick or treaters.    I hope to see all the kids, big and small out celebrating.  I will be taking pictures at my home in Darnestown.  Most of the kids head up to the Kentlands to trick or treat.     I think some kids think it is too much work to come to Darnestown where all the houses are on 2 acre lots or more.  The Kentlands have smaller lots and they get a bigger bang for the buck.   If you have photos that you would like to share, please email them to me and I will post them on my blog to share with everyone.
