Dahlias are blooming in Kentlands We have some beautiful dahlias in our Kentlands home garden, in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  The colors are wonderful and it is easy to understand why dahlias are among the favorite flowers for Maryland gardens.  If you are shopping for dahlias, pay a little more for the larger plants and you will have more blooms to enjoy and photograph. Kentlands Garden Favorite:  Watermelon Gerbera Daisy We are fortunate to have many beautiful flowers in our Kentlands home garden this spring.  One of my favorites is the Watermelon Gerbera Daisy.  The bloom is large and the colors are beautiful.  I recommend it to you as an addition to your home garden. For those of you that are not familiar with Kentlands, it a beautifully planned neo-traditional community in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  Kentlands is a favorite home purchase location for families that are relocated to the Washington, DC area. Spring Flowers in the Rain Those of us that enjoy flower photography have our favorite times for taking the best pictures.  We love the morning light for flower photographs and prefer cloudy days that have not deep shadows.  In the spring, we frequently have spring showers that make the flowers grow.  Photographers love to go out between the showers to capture flower images that show the droplets of rain reflected by the light.  Some photographers cheat a bit and carry a spray bottle to create extra water droplets as desired. These are some of the flowers in home garden after this week's spring showers.  Have a great week, with your camera in hand.  Life is better when there are flowers to photograph. I hope you will re-blog this post to share the flowers. Gazania, Kentlands, Spring Flo...
