 Every year my office, RE/MAX Realty Group in Gaithersburg, Maryland supports our community in some way.  In past years we have helped the Salvation Army Angel Tree Kids to help make the holidays better for others.  I was always amazed at the support and generosity that the agents in my office showed for those in need. This year we did a Food Drive for the Maryland Food Bank.  Kara Hurley, who is part of our office staff.  Kara organizes all of our community drives, social and educational activities.  Kara is a driving force to our success with the food drive.  Besides that, she is the cutest thing you could ever know.  Each agent was asked to send out postcards to folks in our SOI and other networks we were involved with in order to meet our goal of 500 lbs of food for the Maryland Foo...

I am so excited, the Sugarloaf Craft Fair is this weekend!!  It is one of my favorite pre holiday activities.  There is so many great things to see there at the fair!! If you have never been to the Sugarloaf Craft Fair this is your weekend to go.  There are artists and crafts people from all over the country here in Gaithersburg at the Fairgrounds to sell.  I love getting the hot cider and shopping for treasures to start off the Holiday season.  They make perfect holiday gifts for family and friends, maybe a gift or two for yourself.  The show will be this weekend November 21, 22, and 23.

These days we all want instant everything.  From our Internet connections, to our cell phones connecting right away and answers to our questions should have been five minutes ago.  We are in tune and on the move.  But what about an emergency?  Bad weather?  Storms coming, you know we have had a few tornadoes in this area in the last few years.  They are so rare, but if one was coming wouldn't you want to know?  How about a tree down blocking a road after a storm.  What about a water main break that stops traffic.  These are inconveniences, but wouldn't you like to know before hand?  Sure you would.  Remember how scary 9/11 was here in Maryland?  Being right next to the Nation's Capital, what a scary and traumatic day it was for all of us.  Now we were not set up back on 9/11, but rest a...

The City of Gaithersburg will celebrate Veteran's Day, November 11th,  at the City Hall Concert Pavillion at South Summit Ave.  Everyone is invited to come out and support our troops. The main speaker will be Rear Admiral Michael Browne, who graduate from the US Naval Academy in 1980.  There will be representatives from all branches of the military and local veterans groups.  Gaithersburg City Officials will be laying a wreath in a Memorial Ceremony on Tuesday.  Show your support to your community and to your troops and come out on Tuesday for the service.
