Rockville Maryland mortgage rates fell to new all time lows yesterday.  On Friday July 6th a weaker than expected Employment Situation Report the stock market tanked and Rockville Md mortgage rates dropped to new record lows.  For example, best execution 30 year fixed mortgage rates are in the 3.5% to 3.625% range (APR 3.58 – 3.69%).  This is historic!   The turmoil in Europe and uncertainty in the US Economy is keeping downward pressure on bond and mortgage-backed security pricing, thus rates are staying very low.  But I think the driving force in the new all-time low mortgage rates is due to increased expectation that the Fed will initiate more quantitative easing that will add even more demand to the bond market.  Bottom line, mortgage rates in Rockville MD are at their lowest point... 07/07/2012
