For those of us in the real estate business, we've come to accept the difficult state of our market. When two or more agents are together, invariably the discussion turns to how much more "work" it is to do what we do. Times have changed, and with those changes come the need to adjust our practices and procedures. Having lived through several cycles and learned from experience (both good and bad), I've figured out that there is an easier, better way to make these adjustments and survive, this time around. By reading and considering what other (successful!) practitioners have to say, we can get ideas and suggestions. The vast network opportunities offered by blogs and blogger-associates come to us at a time when we sure can use some new ideas and suggestions. Do we miss the simpler times...

Yesterday I joined activerain, and began to embrace the technological advancements of the real estate industry. Well, I'm trying to embrace them.  Sometimes when things don't come easily to you the temptation is to avoid them, or at least procrastinate.  This was one of those times. I've had the good fortune to be administrative assistant to an admired friend, who happens to be a CRS Instructor for NAR.  Because he spends so much time among the elite of the real estate industry, he always knows about the most up-to-date and current innovations, techniques and technologies.  Being a card-carrying member of the last generation of real estate practitioners, these new fangled ways to do things don't set well sometimes.
