The sale statistics for 20905 Silver Spring, MD show that the area is off to a somewhat slower start than at the beginning of 2011. Since January 1st, 2012 7 homes sold with an average sales price of $375,000 compared to 11 sales during the same period last year. 20905 Silver Spring, MD 2011 MARKET STATISTICS 2011: Number of homes sold in 20905 Silver Spring, MD Absent a 1st Time Home Buyer Tax Credit and a foreclosure pause (due to the robo-signing scandal) 20905 Silver Spring, MD still enjoyed increased sales activity compared to 2010 - 13 more homes sold in 2011. I consider that good news. 17 were foreclosures compared to 37 in 2010. Short sales increased by 8 sales to 26. I haven’t been in a laundromat in a long, long, long time, maybe 12 to 15 years ago.  The last time I needed to use a laundromat I went to the one near the corner of University Blvd & Piney Branch Road  and also the one in the 16th Street Strip Mall that was on the level under the McDonalds there.  They were both crowded places and kinda dingy and dark.  There were 2 different sizes of washers and dryers that took coins.  I couldn’t wait to get my laundry done and get out. I recently went into the new Tropicana Laundromat on Fenton Street to wash some real bulky items (rugs, big comforters and pillows), that my regular washer and dryer can’t handle.  I was amazed at how far Laundromats have come since I’d been in one! The DC Metro area housing market is looking promising! According to an analysis published by Real Estate Business Intelligence on January 10th, 2012 inventory levels were at their lowest since August 2005 at year's end! If a low inventory meets with a higher demand, it will put an upward pressure on prices. What do the 2011 Silver Spring, MD home sales statistic look like? I've prepared the following graphs to show the number of Silver Spring, MD homes sold in 2011 compared to 2010 as well as their average prices. 2011 saw just about 100 sales less than the year before [2,341 vs. 2,440].
