  Good Afternoon, This week I wanted to introduce you to the wonderful community of Woodmoor.  Woodmoor is in the Four Corners area of Silver Spring, conviniently located near Route 29, University Boulevard, and 495.  It really is the kind of area that is close to it all, and yet far away from it all at the same time.  In 2006 it was named by Washingtonian Magazine as the "greatest place to live." As we head into the summer months, the Silver Spring market is still proving to be very strong.  There are currently 597 ACTIVE listings in the price range of $200k and up as of June 5th.$200k-$300k -  195 ACTIVE listings, 58 are short sales, and 21 are foreclosures$300k-$400k -  248 ACTIVE listings, 12 are short sales, and 41 are foreclosures$400k and up - 154 ACTIVE listings, 12 are short sales, and 3 are foreclosures262 properties sold in the month of May, prices ranged from $54,900 to $1,049,000.There is a lot of inventory here in Silver Spring right now, but as our past history has shown the homes sell quick.  It is a great time to buy, as you will find a great bargain with record low interest rates.  Don't get discouraged if you're selling, this is the perfect time to start prepar... 06/05/2010
