I am anxiously awaiting Spring in Baltimore. We have had a very rough winter. Many snow storms (one school system nearby has had ELEVEN snow days. Seven were built in, and often, the schools get out early because they are not all used!) Temperatures so cold in two separate "polar vortexes" that pipe freezing and bursting was a reality for many. St. Patrick's Day brought us another snow storm -- over 8" of snow here in Towson. Losing Electricity in Baltimore can happen when we have an ice storm, resulting in trees crashing to the ground and taking the power lines down with them. And yes, it happened to over 49,000 of us in Baltimore County on Wednesday, over 85,000 in the service area of our power company. As of 10am this morning, there are still almost 16,000 customers without power. Many of the streets are now OK, so the trucks may be able to get to these power lines. Unfortunately, until this point, a few streets were impassable. We only lost power for about 24 hours. We were some of the lucky ones. I have never been so grateful for electricity. Baltimore’s Best Quilt Show (EXPO 2013) is Coming March 16th and March 17th, 2013 to Goucher.       Baltimore Heritage Quilters Guild (BHQG) is having their biennial quilt show which will be held at Goucher College (1021 Dulaney Valley Rd, Towson).   Special Service And A New Brown Case I like to wear my phone on my waist and the best case for my needs has a magnetic closure and fits horizontal  on my belt.  Not too long ago, my phone was shattered when I took a fall.
