White’s Bicycles, Westminster, Maryland Get the bike fixed or get up every morning and drive Cole to work? My son Cole works on a local vineyard, just 2 miles away from home, an easy ride …. by bike to work and back home every day. His bike has experienced wear and tear over the past few years and wasn’t really safe to ride. When Cole came to me with the laundry list of repairs the bike needed I thought I may be cheaper to purchase a new bike.We took the bike to White’s Bicycles at 12 West Main Street in Westminster, Maryland where we found Megan working hard repairing customers bikes.  She dropped what she was doing and asked how she could help us. My Husband Took My 5 Year Old To A Peep Show! Well to be honest, I was there too.  Wait!  Before you call Child Protective Services, it was the 4th Annual PeepShow at the Carroll County Art Council 91 W. Main Street  Westminster, MD 21157 There are some crazy talented people creating masterpieces out of Peeps! These folks didn't listen when mom told them not to play with their food!   The entries were created by local artists, individuals and groups.  There were Peep Bunnies, Peep Chicks, even Peep Christmas Trees....some folks really plan ahead. Feed the Kitties...Feed the Birdies... While Showing 3738 Bixler Church Road, Westminster, MD 21158   These two gals always greet  me at the house... continually looking in the glass front door, jumping up to make themselves known. Why, because they know I will feed them.  And that is my pleasure! But they need to be a bit more patient...they need to know I have to get the house ready first!  I have been quite Busy With Real Estate in Baltimore This Weekend. Starting on Friday taking phone calls for appointments. When I found out that I had not one but two showings on Bixler Church, a light bulb went off..why not make it an  Impromptu Open House       When I am already at a listing, already have a scheduled appointment, it is to our advantage to make it an OPEN HOUSE.   Open Houses Can Be For the Birds. I am in Westminster, Maryland and it is July 2010, the temperatures are soaring into the high 90's with feel like temperatures in the 100's.  I am showing homes to buyers that I am working with and I am shocked to find homes WITHOUT their air conditioning on!!  WHAT!!! (p.s. do you know what I look like after an hour in 100 degree weather :0 - scary!) Realtors please ask your sellers to make sure they have their air conditioning on during this extreme heat.  Buyers will stay longer and think more about purchasing your home if they are comfortable in your home.   07/09/2010

 I always think of 3738 Bixler Church Road as a place for a year round vacation in Westminster, MD. This cantilevered contemporary on 28 acres is one of my favorite listings. With 5,000 square feet of sun-drenched space, this unusual home is definitely not a "cloneonial." Picture multiple balconies, two fireplaces, wood floors, and way too many windows to count. Set in lush woods, the change from season to season is wonderful.
