For 14 years, each Labor Day Weekend in Camden's Penobscot Bay, the Windjammer Weekend attracts schooners from the around the world. The local area has a rich seashore heritage and tradition.  The Windjammer Weekend  is a popular family event in Maine. Organizer and founder Annie Higbee says the event planning goes year round, and each year's celebration has grown.  Large schooners gracefully sail and parade into Camden Harbor.
