A client of mine is hosting an in-person "tasting" event here in the Grand Rapids Mich area at the Bridge St Market(Bridge ST NW) this coming Saturday between the hours of 1-4pm. The featured tasting will be the Hibiscus/Ginger product. It will be carried AND sold at that location. I think I will have to stop out(myself) and have a "taste" for myself. So IF you happen to be in GR this weekend make this a stop on your "things to-do" list.

Making money by renting out your home has become a fairly common way for many people to use their house to generate some extra income, using sites like Airbnb and Vrbo. Some people have even used their pools to create cash flow on sites like Swimply. But a dog? But what if you don’t have a pool, or don’t want people living in your home and sleeping in your beds? Your Yard Could Be Someone Else’s Private Dog Park Forbes recently reported that there 65.1 million households with dogs, and 14% of dog owners said that they moved from an apartment to a house so their dog would have a yard. Unfortunately, as much as they may want to, not every dog owner is able to either buy their ...

Life is filled with aggravating and embarrassing moments that’ll make you cringe or grit your teeth just thinking about them as you lay awake at night even years later. Facing these down in your own mind is hard enough, which is why perhaps the best way to dodge some problems in life is to get out of Dodge, so you can put as much distance between you and the situation as possible! Here are 6 tongue-in-cheek reasons it might make more sense to move out of area than to stay and deal with the issue: 1) Because it’s the only way to cancel your gym membership…   They make the procedure and window of time you need to cancel a gym membership so specific that it can be almost impossible to get out of your contract. But one loophole they usually have in the agreement is that you can cancel if y...

When you hear the term “squatters” you probably picture them in an abandoned, run down place with no heat, electricity, or furnishings, and most likely in a high crime or depressed area. As for the actual squatters, you probably envision homeless people or drug addicts who broke in through a backdoor or broken window, crashing on an old mattress and surrounded by trash. Those are certainly accurate assumptions in some cases, and most likely what you’d see depicted on TV or movies. But squatters — and the houses they choose to squat in — don’t always resemble that description. On the contrary, your house could become a squatter’s home without you (or your neighbors) even noticing it… until it’s too late. Squatters are Real For example, a recent realtor.com article gave an account of a G...

When you’re looking at houses for sale, it’s nice to be able to take your time, look around, and speak freely with your agent about what you like and don’t like about the place. Which is why most listing agents will advise their sellers to get out of the house whenever there’s a showing scheduled.Unfortunately, some owners can’t resist the temptation to stay home and eavesdrop…Sure, they’ll promise to stay out of sight and out of mind, but they rarely accomplish either! So if you’re feeling like a homeowner is hovering around you (even from a room away) while you’re trying to size up their home, here are 7 creative ways to make it just as weird and uncomfortable for them, as they’re making it for you:1) Play Hide and Seek If they’re less-than-discreetly trying to move from room to room ...

Obviously nobody wants to pay more for a house than they have to, but paying full price or even over the asking price doesn’t necessarily mean you paid too much. How much a home ultimately sells for is decided by the buyers in the market. Just because a seller lists their house for a certain amount, that doesn’t mean they’ll actually get it! In fact, plenty of sellers list their house for too high of a price and never end up selling their house for the amount they were asking, let alone over their asking price. On the other hand, when a house is priced appropriately within the market — regardless of whether it’s a sellers’ market or a buyers’ market — there’s a good chance they’ll not only get a full price offer, but they’ll get multiple offers from several buyers in the market, and end u...
