Homes on Clifford Lake Brighton MichiganClifford Lake in Genoa Township in Livingston County Michigan is also known to some people as Round Lake.  It is a small lake but a nice lake that people have been coming to for decades.  It is not too far from downtown Brighton or Howell.Clifford Lake waterfront homes are on smaller lots. What I mean by that is they do not have wide lake frontage.  The lake frontage is sometimes as small as 50' of lake frontage. There is one home on a lot that is one acre in size, but I do not know of any others that are on lots over an acre in size.  Many of the homes are relatively close together.  This is not a lake if you are looking for space or privacy. The lakefront homes are a mixture of old and newer.  There are quite a few older cottages .   Farmers' Market in Brighton, Michigan  Where:  Downtown Brighton, MichiganHours: Saturdays from 8 am - 1 pm.  The Farmers' Market is now openThe Farmer's market in downtown Brighton Michigan just opened up again beginning in May and will run until October.   On our last trip in May 2015 here are some of the items we were able to pick up.  Organic Asparagus for $4/pound.  Large chicken eggs from the local farm for $2.75 a dozen and a container of peppers for $2.  We also got some red kale.  I was told that there is no difference between red kale and green kale and that they taste the same.  I can really taste the difference in buying food from the Farmers' Market (especially the eggs) plus I feel the food is healthier since you know where it came from.  I love supporting local farms to... 05/11/2015

The Brighton Optimist Club will conduct its Spring Break Fun Day on Tuesday, April 7th at Brighton High School from 8am - 2 pm.  The Optimists rent out a portion of the HS and have a variety of fun events for kids in grades K-4.  Kids sign up for different groups that may have the following activities: pool, kayaking, jump rope, cardio fun, karate, geology, science, magic, fishing, gardening, theatre, yoga, zumba, face painting and a kid's version of 'iron chef'.   Pre-registration has closed, but there will be four groups of 20 open for day-of registration on a first-come, first-serve basis.
