We don't think about rural homes with septics and wells if you live in an area like I do, Grand Rapids Michigan.  Well Drilling Services are one of the last thoughts on my list.  I have public water system.  Then again if you are in real estate like most of us on Active Rain we cross many highways and see all types of homes and water supply systems. I have been spending a bit more time lately in my son's territory which is Barry, Kalamazoo and Allegan counties.  The communities have public water systems but at times home within city limits had not hooked up to the public water supply.  Not unlike many parts of the country the rules seem to go from township to township and county to county on what requirements are followed for water wells. We create memories that will never be replaced, just new ones made because of Thanksgiving.  Families gather together on Thanksgiving even when they can't get together during Christmas. We start planning for weeks before the big event.  We love the food, the downtime, private conversations and most of all seeing each other. Busy lifestyles make it difficult to see family as much as would like too.  Sometimes it is simply distance limits our ability to see loved ones. The changes in the marketing of the holiday is very evident.  We have ignored the shopping for quality family time.  Photo opportunities, videos and we sometimes view old videos that were taken when we were kids.  Our children laugh and point fingers...until we break out the videos of them!
