The main reason that they keep coming back is water: precipitation that shows up as ice, rain and snow then seeps into pavement cracks, freezes, causing the pavement and underlying roadbed material to expand. Temperatures eventually rise above freezing, the water melts, creating a cavity or void in the road. Potholes are mostly created when a vehicle drives over the cavity, cracking the pavement and loosens the roadbed material. Here is the latest list of Farmington Hills condo foreclosures.  There are only 12 Farmington Hills condo foreclosures as of November 9, 2010. What I like about some of these low priced foreclosures is they are great for somebody that doesn't have the ability to take care of the outside of the home and yet can have a very low payment if they get a mortgage.  You can live in some of these Farmington Hills condos cheaper than you can rent an apartment. Here is a retelling of a recent Farmington Hills home inspection with a Michigan first time home buyer.  They called me up to meet.  Not cry, no overly upset but with a few worries. The Farmington MI home was built in 2002.  But as the Metro Detroit home inspector was going through the home he made these comments: The furnaces were just mediocre quality or average quality The hot water tank was just fifty gallons and that they wouldn't be able to shower and wash clothes at the same time The outside of the house needed painting There is only 9 inches of insulation in the attic.  Since 2002 the code now recommends more insulation than that.
