"Quality in a service or product is not what you put into it, it is what the client or customer gets out of it." --Peter Druke I had an interesting conversation earlier this week that prompted some thought about service and quality.  These are buzz words that seem to be everywhere.  Researchers tell us that consumers are becoming immune to advertising in the traditional ways and that they are increasingly aware of and avoiding shoddy service and quality.  The conversation I had was with one of the owners of a local hardware store located in Hudsonville MI.  Gemmen's was established over 50 years ago and has been family and locally owned throughout. With over 42,000 square feet of retail space, their motto is "More than just a hardware store!"  Folks throughout the area are familiar with...

This is for two friends of mine, one a new friend Marian Goetzinger another an old friend Deb Murray, who are in the position that they have to decide when is the best time to put their dog ddown. Is there ever a right time? One of them just put a dog down that she rescued, a little yorkie named Pixie. As fate would have it, just a few months later, she may have to put down her beloved boxes named Willow. Putting a dog down, a beloved friend, is one of the hardest things to do. I remember when our golden retriever got sick. He was the neighborhood dog. All the kids who couldn't have a dog, called Buddy theirs. Brianna, who lived directly behind us, couldn't have a dog because of allergies in the home. She was as heartbroken as our own children. I remember praying that I would just wake ...

I am so excited to be actually posting my first blog.  I joined Active Rain a couple months ago already but let the fear of blogging overwhelm me.  I am working with Lola Audu with Audu Real Estate and have been receiving a lot of training on various aspects of real estate.  As a result I have been reading some of your posts and gained a lot of helpful information.  Last month I was introduced to the Real Estate Shows Program.  I love creating these shows and find them to be a great way to showcase my listings and export them to a number of places on the internet.  I am a brand new agent and am so excited to share with you that I have 5 NEW listings! Here is my frist listing on 7294 Ryan Ct, Hudsonville, MI.  This is a fabulous home that offers 4 bedrooms, 2.5 barths on a cul-de-sac wit...

Thank you for acknowledging my to your group.  This has been a very informative week in the learning curve. Our Broker has written an article entitled Unmasking the Face of the Foreclosure Crisis.  This is a large area of discussion in our area.  With the economy and high Unemployement rate, we have many Foreclosed and Short Sale home in the market.  In viewing homes with buyers many are vacant due to sellers needing to just leave.  This has become a very challenging issue.  Midori Miller wrote an article about Excellent Business Practices Produces Good Results.  This has helped appreciate and values of listening to Mentors and experienced Realtors.  It has reinforced my tra...
