With spring of 2012 has come the hot Northville real estate market.  There are just so few homes on the market that it has become a sellers market.  It is a great time to sell your home.  If you are a buyer then it is a lot tougher to find the home you want.   Be prepared to get into bidding wars, losing houses before you even get to see them or put into a bid.  The Northville real estate market is that hot.  I listed a Northville house a couple of weeks ago and it sold in 3 days.  We had four offers on the house and it went within 2% of list price.  And we had priced it high because it was a hot sellers market. Home values in Northville & Northville Twp, Michigan continue to firm slightly, early this year. Home inventories continue to be low with only 166 homes on market. The main cause of the current low inventory is that Bank Owned (foreclosure) inventory continues to be slim. Banks have been slow to bring their homes to market after the delay caused by MERS lawsuits this past Fall. Expect Bank Owned homes to start to come to market this Spring, as banks attempt to clear up their inventory. I will give you a quick Northville real estate update on one of the biggest issues Northville home buyers are facing as February 2012.  It is the lack of inventory and the competition of other buyers. Little Caesars Hot-n-Ripoff pizza There's a Little Caesars pizza shop less than a mile from my real estate office, Remerica Integrity, in Northville, MI, that I've been buying pizzas at for about 4 years now. Maybe 3 years ago, I asked them if I could swap out the pepperoni for another single item. They said yes. That made me very happy because pepperoni is probably my most disliked topping on a pizza, besides anchovies of course. Fast forward to tonight. I called ahead to order a ham pizza.
