     Several years ago, FHA changed the way that they view Site Condos as the relate to lending.  Unfortunately, the VA has not changed their point of view.  The VA treats Site Condos just the same way that they do traditional condo projects.  For all intents and purposes, Site Condos are no more than a single family home with a Home Owners Association and some common areas.  NOTHING at all like a traditional condo project.  Recently I have run into challenges with getting Site Condo developments approved through the VA.  They have a list of 27 items that are required to send in for the approval of the project and the buyers loan.  However, there are many other things that they look for that is not printed ANYWHERE in their guidelines.  Fortunately, I have a fabulous lender that knows V...

A few months back a dear friend of mine received a tainted dose of Steroid medicine for pain in his back.  Since then, he has developed internal fungal absesses.  They have not been able to find any relief for his pain and the anti-fungal medicine is not working.  Doctors are at a loss as to what to try next.  Mark has a lovely wife, Stacy and two beautiful twin children, Abby and Alex who are 11.  Stacy works part-time in the Emergency Room at our local hospital and is part of our family here at Cherry Wings Realty.     Mark has been out of work for several months.  Although they have insurance, there is much of his care and at home medicines (for the brief periods that he has been out of the hospital) that are not covered by insurance.  Then there are the regular household bills that ...

President Obama signed The Honoring America’s Veterans and Caring for Camp Lejeune Families Act (H.R. 1627) on August 6, 2012. This act, intended to help those sickened by water at Camp Lejeune, includes improvements to VA home loan benefits available through the VA Home Loan Guaranty Program.
