Fall is in the air in beautiful Western Montana, you can feel it in the crisp morning air and see it in the leaves that are starting to change colors. It is also bow hunting season, a perfect reason to climb to the top of of a mountain and watch the sun rise. Kevin has been spending all the mornings he can on top of this mountain in the Lolo National Forest. Kevin took this photo in one of his favorite areas at the top of a mountain near Pardee Creek in Superior. It overlooks the Lolo National Forest towards the towns of Paradise and Plains, MT. A Relaxing Afternoon Fly Fishing and Floating the Clark Fork River in Western Montana A couple of weeks ago Kevin and Kelsey spent the afternoon fly fishing and floating the Clark Fork River with a friend of ours, Roger. Here's some photos from the outing: Spending time on the river is a favorite Montana past time and a great way to cool off in the summer. Not-So-Speechless Sunday: Beautiful Views of Missoula Lake in Mineral County Montana Mineral County has 42 Pristine Mountain Lakes, including Missoula Lake which is located approximately 30 miles up Cedar Creek Road from Superior near the Montana / Idaho border. 87% of Mineral County is publicly-owned (U.S. Forest Service, State) so we have thousands of miles of amazing wilderness! The water is so crisp and clean you can see almost the entire bottom of the lake, and all of the fish swimming in it! View from the State Line Trail above Missoula Lake. This is looking into Idaho. Montana Bull Riding at the Bull-a-Rama Event - Mineral County Fair & Rodeo, Superior, MT A long-time Montana tradition is Bull Riding and it continues at rodeos across the West. Mineral County Montana has an annual Fair and Rodeo the First Weekend in August every year. This year the Fair Board had a Bull-a-Rama - a rodeo dedicated entirely to Bull Riding. Montana Bull Riding Video from the Mineral County Fair & Rodeo Bull-a-Rama - Superior MT The Mineral County Fair and Rodeo is the First Weekend in August every year, and this year was no exception. Last year we organized the first Tour Mineral County Home & Business Tour. We had a great response and preparations are well underway for the 2009 Tour. Tour Mineral County was created to highlight Mineral County's local builders, sub-contractors, and developers. We also include local businesses. It's a great family event and gives attendees the opportunity to see New Homes, Building Trends, and socialize with others on the tour. We Were Pink Flamingoed! (Is Flamingoed even a word?) We were Pink Flamingoed to the Access Realty office today, thanks to our friends at First American Title. The Pink Flamino award is delivered to local businesses as part of a fundraiser for the local 4-H Club. We also received a hot pink certificate notifying us of our status. This beautiful prize was delivered by a lady in a hat covered in pink flamingoes (who would not let me take her picture). Upon receipt, you have the choice of displaying the Pink Flamingoes for the day, or gifting them to another business. We snapped some pictures and then gifted them to Iron Mountain Beauty Salon.
